I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Addictions Specialist serving the LGBTQ+ and substance abuse communities in the Asheville area
Counselor in Weaverville, NC
I have worked in the substance abuse field since 2007. I have worked with clients from acute inpatient treatment through sober living and aftercare
I have worked with clients from exploring gender identity, exploring gender expressions, and navigating the world when they don't recognize you for who you are.
I have been in the LGBTQ community since the early 2000s. I have worked with clients on the coming out process, grief from family abandonment, navigating relationship issues (including non-monogamy), and navigating family planning.
I work with clients through an attachment lens to work through issues relating to self, family, and community
I work with clients with the understanding that we are all made up of different parts. All of these parts are working for your best interest but some of their strategies can be really problematic. We work to connect with these parts, address internal conflicts, and ensure that the you that is the Self is the one driving the bus, not your 5 year old self.
