ACT is an evidence-based psychotherapy rooted in non-religious Zen Buddhism. It teaches ways to fully connect to the desire for life which is always present, develop acceptance, and to resist the urge to control natural yet painful emotions. When doing so, we suffer less and are able to find more fulfillment in life.
Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) is a safe, compassionate, evidence-based and self-directed therapy to help resolve anxiety, fears, phobias, enhance personal performance, decrease the sting of traumatic memories, and more! I received my basic and advanced EMDR training in Attachment-Focused EMDR (AF-EMDR), which aims to resolve (get to the "root of") what may be causing imbalances. I am also trained in the Flash Technique, which assists in managing acute stress.
