About My Clients
I work with adolescents/teens & adults struggling with complex, systemic, & religious trauma, depression, anxiety, self-esteem/identity, and relationship & familial issues. I examine the intersecting identities of the client in order to help increase self-awareness within social systems, core-beliefs, and various factors affecting emotional well-being.
My Background and Approach
I employ an integrative approach to therapy utilizing modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-informed therapy & Person-centeredness in order to help others identify their strengths and new strategies to foster a more helpful and balanced lifestyle. I believe the client is the expert of their life and create a supportive space for individuals to communicate their phenomenological experiences.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am passionate about advancing social justice initiatives, discussing the ways in which individuals have been affected by discriminatory systems, and further, how that may affect mental well-being. I believe that all individuals are owed human rights regardless of race/ethnicity, gender, sex, socio-economic status, disability status, indigenous heritage, sexuality, immigration status, or any other identity.
