About My Clients

My clients tend to be people who are seeking to bring spirituality more to the forefront in their lives. This includes people who are "spiritual but not religious", people of a certain faith, or people who do not have a faith. Anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and difficulties in relationships are all areas where I can offer creative, heart-centered solutions grounded in your values and beliefs.

My Background and Approach

I take a deeply collaborative approach to therapy. I believe each person I meet has the wisdom they need to successfully navigate their life. It is simply a matter of finding that inner knowing and allowing it to come forward. My approach is a combination of intuitive and practical strategies that will offer you tools you can access between sessions to allow you to create the life you want for yourself. I have a Ph. D in counseling and I am also an ordained, Interfaith minister. This means I believe all faith paths are equally valid and beautiful. Our work together might include ways you can incorporate spiritual practices to bring peace and ease into your life and relationships. I have been helping individuals and families for almost 20 years. First as a social worker, and then as a therapist. I believe absolutely no one is broken- but we all carry wounds and sometimes need some help to heal them.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I love people! I believe people are powerful, capable, compassionate souls who can do amazing things when they are given the right tools and support. I think a lot of the time people struggle with mental health issues because the things they learned they needed to do in order to survive and thrive growing up no longer work. I believe we are spiritual beings having a human experience. When we forget that, we can feel alone and lost. I am the parent of an adult with autism and schizophrenia. This has helped me to see that there are gifts in all different ways of being. I served on the leadership team to implement a 5-year grant in my area that helped enhance access to mental health services for young adults. I presently serve on the advisory board to a program that helps young adults with serious mental health diagnoses be successful in their lives. I enjoy helping in my community.
