About My Clients
This year has been a challenging year for everyone… and that’s putting it lightly. Job losses, virtual schooling, political discord, social/racial inequalities - the list goes on. If you have a chronic illness and/or are immunocompromised, the list of stressors is magnified. I work with adolescents and young adults who are dealing with depression, anxiety, or other difficult feelings that are making their day to day life hard to cope with.
My Background and Approach
I have 10+ years working with teens and young adults in outpatient settings and within a medical hospital, as a part of a multidisciplinary team. My goal is to have a positive and trusting relationship with you and to give you a private, non-judgmental, and open-minded space to share your story and start to bring joy back into your life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in being who you are and finding the good in the world wherever you can. Living your truest life can be a difficult, but freeing experience. I am passionate about social justice and the difficulties our society is facing right now. The stress of these political and social issues only compounds what we carry on our shoulders every day from our personal lives, and I am open to hearing your views on how it has affected your mental health and incorporating that into your treatment if desired.
