I have been practicing mindfulness and meditation for over five years. I have participated in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and have attended trainings and educated myself on the methods and benefits of mindfulness. I can help you become more aware in the present moment in order to positively influence your mood, mental health, and relationships.
I have extensive knowledge and experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I have the ability to make it easy to enact effective changes in your life to decrease stress, anxiety, and depression. I accomplish this through helping you identify and then change your thoughts and behaviors to positively impact your emotional state.
Every person experiences stress, but you may not have been taught how to cope with it on a day-to-day basis. I integrate components of mindfulness and present-moment awareness to help people achieve calm. My goal is to help you appreciate the positive moments in each day, while learning how to cope with stress.
I have training and experience helping individuals overcome Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I have helped people who have come into my office with a diagnosis of PTSD significantly reduce their symptoms so they no longer have a PTSD diagnosis when they leave. I have helped individuals accomplish this success through trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, education, and supportive listening.
I have specialized knowledge and experience helping individuals cope with and manage anxiety. I have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) which is a way of helping people improve their outlook by changing their thoughts and habits. Through my therapeutic methods I promise to help you identify action-oriented goals that can help you achieve success, manage your anxiety and cope with daily stressors.
