About My Clients

I enjoy working with adults of all ages, be they seeking to balance relationships, family, career, and personal needs, or aiming to develop a more grounded sense of self, meaning, and direction. I work with women questioning cultural/familial norms, individuating, navigating post-partum & motherhood, discovering self worth and creative flow, or caring for elderly parents. I work with new parents & bicultural people, particularly immigrants, whose stories are often forgotten or untold.

My Background and Approach

Many people are struggling with depression, anxiety, fears, grief, and relationships, both with themselves and with others. I believe that emotions have a function; they communicate or point to authentic needs and feelings. For various reasons, perhaps an unreceptive or unsafe environment, perhaps our culture’s emphasis on getting rid of these experiences, we avoid or resist our inner experience, so the emotions hold fast, speak louder, attempting to be heard. In our work, we will make space for all of your experiences with curiosity, respect, patience, and humor. We’ll take the unwinding path of understanding old patterns and adaptations, allowing you to connect more fully with yourself. My training in developmental and relational trauma informs my approach. Several other websites, including LinkedIn, CIIS.academia.edu, and Psychedelic Support offer more information about my credentials and experience as a healing arts practitioner.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I stepped on the path of becoming a healer long ago, as a teen who became fascinated with what shapes people, from our families and cultures, to our biology. I was certainly shaped by my experiences as an immigrant from Iran, and the only child of a single mom. I was also shaped by an altered state experience when I was 14 years old, which ignited a deep inquiry into human experience and consciousness and many years of study of non-ordinary states of consciousness, including conferences and seminars on entheogens, psychedelic therapy & integration, and psychosis/madness (overseas and in the U.S.) and work with individuals experiencing psychosis/madness, dementia, on hospice, and using drugs. I have been trained by M.A.P.S. in MDMA therapy for PTSD and in Ketamine-Assisted Therapy at the Alchemy Community Therapy Center. I welcome all identities and experiences. I believe in humanizing healing.
