A major tenant of my approach is the relational component. It's my greatest personal strength as a therapist: having high levels of empathy and strong connectivity to others. Research has also shown that the relationship with your therapist is even more important to outcomes than any particular therapeutic modality. I view therapy sessions through a trauma informed lens while treating symptoms of anxiety and depression. I use primarily use a psychodynamic approach paired with ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), however, I am also trained in TEAM-CBT and Motivational Interviewing. I work with adults of all ages, however, I also have over 10 years of experience working with working family caregivers, aging issues (including dementia), grief/loss and life transitions.

I believe that the world would be a better place if mental health were given more priority and less stigma. I am a fierce ally for minority groups, including LGBTQ+. Fairness and equity have been deep core values to me since I was a little girl. I believe in authenticity and being genuine with others. I believe in constantly working to be a better human and a better therapist. Whether you ultimately decide to speak with me or someone else, I’d like to acknowledge what an accomplishment it is to be where you’re at already. Looking for a therapist in and of itself means you’ve already started the beginnings of something new. You’re on a great path already – one full of promise and hope.
