About My Clients
I specialize in working with clients to address self worth/self-esteem challenges, relationship concerns, life stage transitions, identity development, and grief & loss. In my work with couples, I utilize Gottman principles to help you improve your communication and foster a resilient relationship. I also utilize the Prepare/Enrich program in my work with pre-marital couples. Other areas of expertise include addiction recovery and relapse prevention.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received my Masters in Social Work from Georgia State University in 2014 and my B.S. in Psychology from Georgia College & State University in 2012. I have been trained in modalities to include CBT, DBT, MI, self-compassion, mindfulness approaches, and trauma-informed approaches. I am a certified Prepare/Enrich Facilitator and trained in Level 1 of the Gottman Couples Therapy method. I approach the therapeutic relationship from a holistic perspective with a focus on mindfulness and self-compassion. Clients find me to be empathetic, encouraging, and easy to talk to. Going to therapy takes courage, and I honor this step you are willing to take for yourself and/or your relationship. I look forward to working with you on your therapeutic journey towards healing your whole self. I am currently accepting new clients and offer a free phone/email consultation.
