About My Clients

I have found joy in working with BIPOC adolescents, individuals, and couples. I have experience working with diverse sexualities, relationship structures, and belief systems. My early career has been dedicated to counseling and clinical research focused on trauma, pre- and perinatal relationships, ethnic/racial identity formation, intersectionality, and Black women’s experiences with mental health. I am expanding my expertise in sex therapy and interracial relationships.

My Background and Approach

As a Marriage and Family Therapist trained at The Family Institute at Northwestern University, I practice from a systemic, collaborative, and strengths-based perspective. My theoretical framework stems from emotion-focused therapy (EFT), narrative therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). However, I often utilized an integrative approach in order to support the unique needs of my clients and meet you exactly where you are. During our sessions, we will take an expansive view of your past and present experiences, identify strengths and areas for growth, and chart a path that cultivates healing and fulfillment. Together, we can unlearn what is no longer serving you and help you reclaim your inner peace. We might be a great match if you’re seeking a collaborative therapist who is goal oriented, direct, and who appreciates a bit of humor.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
