About My Clients

Do you start or end your day feeling sad, worried, and alone? Perhaps the future seems dark and like it’s not worth the effort, you could be stressed out all the time and unable to turn your brain off, or maybe you can’t remember the last time you felt happy. I work with clients who tell stories like these and I feel honored to help them step into a space of reflection, expression, and connection.

My Background and Approach

I bring a combination of contemporary research and traditional practices to my work with clients. I place a particular value on the experiences and culture of each client. I believe that you are trying your best with what you have and that by giving you the space and support to engage with your experiences, we can help untangle you from whatever mess you're in. I received my Master's degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis on Marriage & Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. My therapeutic background is in adolescent therapy, trauma, and relationship difficulties. In the summer of 2018, I completed my EMDR Training with the EMDR Humantarian Assistance Program, permitting my to pratice this evidence-based and fast paced trauma treatment that can reduce symptoms of depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress. I also believe therapy should feel engaging and I come to sessions energetically and with a sense of humor. Sometimes laughter is the best medicine!

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe in Health At Every Size, body positivity, gender beyond the binary, and radical inclusivity. I believe that the field of psychology has historically been used to oppress minorities and I regularly check for my own biases and assumptions. I believe all people should have access to mental healthcare and keep several slots open for sliding scale clients.
