I believe in targeting the root of the issue, and lifting the veil of the parts you were conditioned to believe are unacceptable and shameful to bring about peace and clarity. My therapeutic approach is direct, nonjudgmental, patient and empathic utilizing psychodynamic therapy which just means discussing a lot of your past especially from childhood. As well as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) which just means uncovering distorted thinking patterns and discovering other perspectives and possibilities. After finding out where and how it started, we can work collaboratively to change it or at the least reduce it's influence on you. At minimum, you will gain a better understanding and awareness of yourself, motivations, intentions, desires and triggers to make more informed decisions and work towards breaking old patterns. At best, you will learn to overcome the things that have hindered your progress and gradually restore your version of peace, joy and freedom back into your life.
