Domestic violence can affect people of all genders, sexualities, and social backgrounds. I worked in a domestic violence counseling center with clients experiencing on-going domestic and family violence, childhood family violence, sexual violence, and intimate partner violence across many types of relationships.
PTSD symptoms are common results of experiencing any type of major stressor or trauma. Whether you are experiencing some or all of these symptoms, we can work together to help you dramatically decrease and eliminate these issues: intrusive thoughts, negative thoughts and feelings, irritability, anger, and many others. I have experience working with clients experiencing PTSD symptoms from my time working in a domestic violence shelter and with victims of child abuse at an advocacy center.
