My work is grounded in the idea that one's passions can be tools for resilience and healing. We will discuss how your Dungeons & Dragons character helps you practice assertiveness skills, explore your identity, and process grief/loss. We will also use stories from anime and Disney movies to help build insight into your experiences and struggles. Tools from DBT, ACT, and mindfulness are utilized in my work to teach skills as needed, as a frame work for utilizing geek therapy and building a life worth living. Additionally, empowerment and acknowledgement of oppression are corner stones of the work that we will do together and working towards identifying how external influences impact the internal, and vice versa.
