About My Clients
No matter what brings you to counseling, I believe that having a compassionate and non-judgmental therapist can make all the difference. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I am passionate about working with the folks who need someone who understands. I strive to provide a validating and affirming space for all, where you don't have to question if you are safe. I work with a wide range of concerns. I am entirely virtual and offer HIPAA-compliant Telehealth sessions to any Florida resident.
My Background and Approach
I believe in establishing a collaborative and authentic therapeutic relationship. This means you won't find me telling you what's right, wrong, good, or bad. By exploring and examining beliefs, values, and intersecting identities, I view clients holistically, not simply in the context of their mental health concerns. Through warmth, empathy, and genuine interest, I aim to help my clients feel heard and supported. I have experience working with clients with a wide range of issues, including folks with LGBTQ+ centered issues, relationship issues, mood disorders, and more. I work with individuals and couples. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I don't align with the decades-old notion that therapists should be "blank slates" that separate their personal beliefs from their work- as we know, that is virtually impossible. The work we do outside of session matters just as much, if not more than what we do in the therapeutic setting. I want my clients and prospective clients to know that I am passionate about being an advocate for marginalized communities. I have a strong social justice framework that informs my therapeutic approach. As an active member of the LGBTQ+ community, I dedicate a lot of time and energy to serving the community as much as I can. I am passionate about destigmatization and normalization of queerness. I believe Black Lives Matter.
