About My Clients
You are here because you're looking for help - stress, anxiety, depression, life's transitions, or just a final attempt to “make it better.” I am here to sit with you, hear your story, and look at what is weighing you down. While I work best with those who lead with openness, curiosity and a true desire for personal growth, I also recognize folx show up in different places in life's emotional experience. Therapy is a journey back to a place of hope and belonging, and it is my honor to join you.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate in WA State with training in Sex Therapy. My therapeutic toolbox includes Satir Growth Model, CBT, DBT, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Discernment Counseling along with techniques from other theories when helpful. I recognize all aspects of identity - be it race, culture, class, religion, gender, sexuality - you are welcome here. I am a relationship therapist who embraces all relational constellations, individuals included. So if it’s coping skills, improved communication, unpacking trauma, better connections with loved ones, or another path towards “better,” I want to help. Let’s talk soon. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Along with my training and skills, I show up with my authenticity and best wishes. I apply an anti-oppression, anti-racist, body-positive, and sex-positive lens to my work. I aim to create a brave space that welcomes you just as you are and encourages you to be courageous and authentic in session with me; I am here for the good, the bad, and the ugly. I am able to suspend judgment because I use a humanistic strengths-based approach. I believe in you, and I will help you find your own strength and then amplify it in your life for the better. I do this with a healthy dose of cultural humility, compassionate curiosity, and my own humanity in order to better understand your views and experiences. After all, you are the expert in your life; not me.
