My Background and Approach
I have developed a unique method of person centered; solution focused therapy that incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectal behavior therapy, using mindfulness techniques, that will build you up and give you the mental tools to reduce & overcome difficult situations in life. While my degree is new, I have been in the mental health field for over 25 years. Working with veterans, families and couples, I have a passion to help others develop new skills to defeat life's challenges. Life will still throw things at you, but you will become more resilient, discovering your inner wise mind, and embracing change as a positive thing in life. Life is always moving forward, but in developing these new skills, you will be able to keep that anxiety & depression in control. I am constantly learning new techniques and skills so I can pass this knowledge on to my clients. I tailor all my session to the individual, this is not a blanket fix, but a walk forward with what works for you.
