About My Clients
Your coping skills do not define you. You know this, but you can’t help judge yourself when you try to set limits, and you keep breaking your own rules. Life just keeps piling on, and even when you think you’ve made some progress, you find yourself slipping back into old behaviors and start to wonder if you’re ever going to get it together. You get so mad at yourself, and the whole mess seems impossible to fix.
My Background and Approach
I use a variety of approaches, including EMDR, motivational interviewing, and CBT depending on your needs. I also love to bring creativity into our work together, and am a collaborative therapist, focusing on your strengths and resources, as well as the behaviors and circumstances you would like to change. I offer groups for women's issues and relapse recovery. I am an LCSW with 9 years of experience holding space for individuals and families dealing with substance abuse, trauma, alienation, stigma, and stress of all kinds.
