Of all approaches with which I am experienced, I believe this one is most effective. Despite what one is facing, the goal is assisting with encouraging trusting self, being open to experiences, introspection and continuing to grow.
This approach has been amazing to use in my work with clients. It assists with helping to bring cognitive distortions and challenging behaviors to the forefront in order to adequately address and make room for developing personal coping mechanisms that are effective.
SFBT (as we abbreviate it in the therapy world) is a short-term, goal-oriented approach that places the focus on a client's present and future circumstances. This approach is a favorite because it helps with reducing too much focus on the past and placing the client in the driver's seat of determining how they can take control of the present and improve future outcomes in their lives.
Stress is often coupled with anxiety and/or depression, typically being a root cause of the others. This is a common condition that I have extensive knowledge and experience in treating in individual therapy. I can assist with relational issues, LGBTQIA+ issues/advocacy, workplace difficulties, life transitions, etc. that all contribute to stress.
