About My Clients

My clients often tell me that they are the first one others go to with problems. Yet it can get lonely always helping others, but feeling like you can’t confide in anyone yourself. Even the strongest, most independent person sometimes runs into difficulties - this is being human. I have worked with many people to reduce distress and feel more empowered. Clients have told me this allows them to enjoy more rewarding relationships and careers, and to support others more effectively.

My Background and Approach

Prior to joining the field of psychology, I worked as a literacy teacher and writing coach. As a psychologist, I have enjoyed practicing in a wide array of settings, including schools, colleges, hospitals, and clinics, as well as serving as a medical school faculty member. Currently, in addition to my private practice, I am also a staff psychologist at the Villanova University Counseling Center. I bring all of these experiences to my collaborative relationship with each client, where my goal is to build trust and understanding to decrease suffering and increase the joy in your life. Each therapy relationship is unique to an individual’s personality, strengths, and worldview, so finding a therapist you can trust is essential. You are welcome to contact me for a free consultation so that you can get to know me and the way I practice before you make this important decision.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that every person deserves access to good mental health care, and that every person deserves to be treated with kindness and respect. My practice is inclusive and welcoming to all people.

I have experience with the following
  • Agnosticism
  • Atheism
  • Buddhism
  • Christianity
  • Judaism
  • Wicca/Paganism
