My training and experience has centered around youth, families, cultural sensitivity, and trauma. I work with families, as a whole or in parts, to move closer to the vision they have for themselves. I came into the field to work with youth and realized that change can only be lasting if a family is on board.
As a narrative therapist, I believe that people are not problems. I believe that through intentional skill building and reflection we can create stories of ourselves and our families that are woven together with our values, hopes, and knowledge.
My work is also informed by feminist and queer theory, by restorative practices, and other forms of resistance. I show up in therapy with deep caring, authenticity, and active allyship. I center your story in our work together and will seek consent before sharing my own reflections and stories or sharing resources.
