About My Clients
I work primarily with adolescents age 14+ and adults experiencing issues related to anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship or attachment concerns, self-esteem, and stress.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is relational and warm. I believe that much of the healing that happens in therapy is facilitated by a trusting relationship between client and therapist. I strive to create an environment where you feel safe to express yourself and explore your inner thoughts and emotions. By virtue of my training in social work I have had the opportunity to develop my clinical skills from an ecological perspective or as I like to call it, the “big picture perspective.” This means that in addition to your emotions and past events, I consider how your environment and identity may intersect, shape, and contribute to the way you experience the world. Beyond this, I draw from trauma informed, cognitive behavioral, narrative, relational cultural and psychodynamic perspectives. I adjust my interventions to best fit each client’s unique needs.
