About My Clients
Currently accepting new clients (in-person and telehealth). I work with adults and adolescents on such issues as: difficult life transitions, divorce and co-parenting, self-esteem, workplace stress, relationship concerns, C-PTSD and PTSD, depression, anxiety, and trauma. Working together, I can help you build confidence, clarity, and insight to achieve empowerment, personal growth, and self-compassion.
My Background and Approach
I graduated from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology with a Masters in Counseling Psychology. Prior to graduate school, I spent seven years working in Chicago-based marketing and understand the landscape of corporate environments. My treatment approach utilizes Person-Centered (Rogerian) Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, and strengths-based therapy. My goal is to create a supportive space where you can share your experiences and feel safe and understood. I know that life can provide obstacles, unexpected changes, and everyday stressors that can challenge our sense of balance. I encourage everyone to come as they are. Working together, I help my clients build confidence, clarity, and insight to achieve empowerment, personal growth, and self-compassion.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
The root of my personal beliefs (as well as my work) is in compassion, empathy, and the desire to learn and grow. I believe we're always capable of further growth and development, no matter what age or stage of life we're in. I believe in compassion and grace for ourselves, just as much as for others. Everyone has a form of self care that works best for them: Mine is cooking and baking, and spending time in outdoors. I believe that therapy can take place just as much outside the therapist's office as within it. My own positive experiences in therapy when I was younger helped to define the therapist I am today. I'm a native to the Chicagoland area, and spent 10 years living in downtown Chicago before moving back to the suburbs. I'm also an avid animal lover, and look forward to the day that I can have a dog to call my own.
