About My Clients
Now providing autism testing! Clients who are struggling with living their best lives find connection and healing in my practice. I have a special strength in working with people who are neurodivergent to help them learn to drop the mask and live a more authentic life, as well as cope with, process, and adjust their lives to better fit their needs. I am EMDR trained. My other specialties include helping people work through trauma, as well as short term, solution focused work for a specific issue
My Background and Approach
I have 13 years of experience in the field of mental health, working primarily with people in crisis who have serious mental illness. This experience has helped me increase my comfort in working with complex situations that typically include trauma. I take a person-centered approach with all of my clients, because after all you are the expert in your own life! I also utilize concepts from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and I am EMDR trained. I believe in a whole person approach, and take into account your routines, habits, and nutrition while also addressing your mental health. We will work together to find the best solutions and strategies for you to live your most fulfilling life. I am qualified to provide autism testing for individuals ages 14 and up. Due to complications from various insurance companies, this will be a cash pay service only. I am happy to provide a superbill so you can seek reimbursement from your insurance.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
When living and growing with neurodivergent traits, the world and it's expectations do not always make sense. Furthermore, things we've been taught by socienty can conflict with the neurodivergent brain. This can leave those of us with neurodivergent traits and diagnoses like Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD feeling confused and alone. I want to help you find strategies to help you live your best life, while always taking into account your neurodivergence. Our problems can seem so scary when we cannot share them with anyone. I seek to create a space where you can share your thoughts in a safe environment with a professional with an open mind, and tools to help you heal. Therapy can be hard work, but it’s work worth doing, and I look forward to working with you!
