About My Clients

Are you weighed down by painful memories of past events? Do everyday stressors send your body into overdrive, flooding you with panic? Do your emotions feel too big to handle? I've been there. It's hard to imagine that life can get better. I've found that working with breath and physical sensations can help steady the ground under your feet when you're triggered or overwhelmed. Together we'll practice self-regulation skills so you feel empowered to meet these experiences head on.

My Background and Approach

I studied Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Art Therapy at Naropa University. The foundation of my learning combined Buddhist philosophy and mindfulness skills with traditional therapy. This is supported by EMDR training, which offers a holistic approach to track how thoughts, emotions, and body responses interact. Neurodiversity affirming provider. My approach is creative and person-centered: every human is unique and we're not one-size-fits all. Breath work doesn't help you relax? We can explore sensory grounding tools like textures, sounds, scents and movements to help anchor you when panic strikes. Difficulty finding the words for a past experience? Let's experiment with line, shape, and color to express that. Finding the tools that work best for you, specifically, is one of my favorite parts of being a therapist.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Being nonbinary, queer, and Neurodivergent influences how I see and relate to the world. I know how it feels to be on the outside looking in, feeling like there's something wrong because you don't fit the mold. This was very painful in my younger years, before I developed the skill of self-love. It was hard, but it cemented by belief that we can tend to those wounded places in ourselves instead of being ruled by them. Creative expression is a big part of my personal life, and I use my sketchbook daily as an outlet for the (valid) rage I feel as we're slowly crushed under the bloat of late capitalism. I don't have anything particularly "therapisty" to say about that. It's brutal. But what we can control is how we treat ourselves and those around us. We deserve soak up every morsel of joy, love, and connection we can.
