About My Clients

I treat a number of life issues including work/career stress, anxiety, shyness/social anxiety, self-confidence, imposter syndrome, obsessive-compulsive disorder, perfectionism, phobias (flying, public speaking, etc), panic disorder, workaholism, depression, procrastination, and relationship problems.

My Background and Approach

Having practiced in the Bay Area for over 10 years, I am intimately familiar with the stressors that are commonly experienced within the tech, startup, and large corporate communities. I previously practiced as the lead on-site/in-house psychologist for a number of the largest tech companies in Silicon Valley . I practice exclusively from a Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) framework. In therapy, you will learn and practice the most evidence-based CBT techniques for improving your psychological health. My main goals for therapy (and in life) are to help clients experience greater life happiness and satisfaction as quickly as possible through evidence-based practices. I believe people should not be (and frankly, don't need to be) in therapy forever. I work quickly/efficiently and attempt to conclude treatment as soon as my clients feel ready.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that that we shouldn't take ourselves and life quite so seriously. I believe and celebrate that life is temporary and death is inevitable and encourage getting the most out of our experiences while we are on this planet. I believe in the importance of getting outside our comfort zones, practicing self-care, avoiding boredom, and being playful. I believe that we shouldn’t believe everything we think and that a real-life superpower is the ability to challenge and change the way we think. Additionally, I believe in acceptance, inclusion, kindness, love, and respect. I believe in equal rights and am an avid marcher and advocate for women's rights, for black lives, for science, for gay pride, for life and gun control, and for mental health. Lastly, believe that rejection is not always bad and that we can’t make everyone happy. I believe in the healthy pursuit of excellent (not perfectionism) and believe it's okay that we all have flaws/make mistakes along our journey.
