About My Clients
I work from a trauma-informed perspective providing support through approaches such as EMDR, EFT, IFS, CBT, and SFBT. I treat individuals who struggle with PTSD, CPTSD, Anxiety, Depression, Grief, Life Transitions, Relationship issues, ADHD, Low-self Esteem, Domestic Violence, and Codepency issues, as well as other areas that may be bringing the individual stress or feelings of discouragement.
My Approach to Helping
My approach to therapy is client-centered: I believe clients are the experts in their lives and determine the direction and depth of therapy. I employ an integrative approach from multiple approaches to help clients identify strengths and to develop treatment plans that accomplish their goals. Some clients may find they need short-term therapy. Others may feel they want to take a deeper dive into the past, present, and future concerns.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe it is important to hold a safe, non-judgemental space where my clients feel free to share their concerns. I believe my personal experiences and professional training give me the insight to guide my clients through difficult life challenges. Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all, it is a unique relationship that should be tailored to fit each client and meet them where they are. From session one, I work to build the therapeutic relationship and form therapy goals that will enhance the client in their current state and give some encouragement to face the current challenges. I believe by offering an encouraging space that my clients find comfort and support in order to access their own resources for change.
