I have experience with a wide array of trauma related disorders from PTSD, Borderline Personality Disorder, Dissassoication and Bipolar related issues. I am a complex certified trauma therapist which allows me the clinical skills to provide care using EMDR and Brainspotting modalities to help reprocess through traumas that get stuck in the cerbral cortex of the brain.

I have over 10 years experience working in the addictions field and helping people understand their addictions and ways to manage them where they no longer control their lives. I use CBT and Motivational Interviewing along with Trauma informed interventions to help you work on recovery and long term sobriety.

Hypnosis uses guided relaxation, intense concentration, and focused attention to achieve a heightened state of awareness or trance. This is where your attention is focused on a core issue that is problematic for you, while in this state, anything going on around the person is temporarily blocked out or ignored and we are able to go into the subconscious part of the brain to work on specific thoughts or tasks.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a psychotherapy is designed to alleviate the distress associated with traumatic memories and somatic issues. EMDR enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. EMDR therapy shows that the mind can in fact heal from psychological trauma much as the body recovers from physical trauma. EMDR therapy demonstrates that a similar sequence of events occurs with mental processes.

(DBT) is a type of cognitive behavioral therapy. Cognitive behavioral therapy tries to identify and change negative thinking patterns and pushes for positive behavioral changes. DBT is used to treat suicidal and other self-destructive behaviors. It teaches you skills to cope with, and change, unhealthy behaviors. It is designed to help people suffering from mood disorders and to change patterns in behavior that are not helpful such as, self harm, suicidal ideation and substance abuse.

Brainspotting therapy works for everyone. Brainspotting gives the therapist access to both the brain and body. The goal is to bypass the conscious thinking processes of the neo-cortex to get to the deeper more emotional and body-based processes from the sub-cortex part of the brain. This helps the BSP therapist locate, focus, process and release a wide range of emotionally and bodily-based conditions. BSP is also a brain-based tool to support the therapy relationship.
