About My Clients
I am particularly invested in working with trans and queer folks and those whose relationship structures and identities are not always validated by dominant culture. Everyone deserves to have a therapist that shares their experience and embodiment.
My Background and Approach
I strive to always be learning and growing and am excited to join clients where they are at- wherever that is- with warmth, empathy, honesty, humility and a good sense of humor. I have a special interest in attachment and psychodynamic therapy and view most of their work through the lens of queer & post-modern theory. I also receive sexual health and gender specialty supervision from Tera Jansen, PsyD, LP, CST and am on the journey to become a certified sex therapist. I studied clinical social work at the University of Minnesota: Twin Cities where I interned at the Queens Center for Gay Seniors and Twin Cities Counseling Coop. In addition, I have a bachelor’s degree in Gender, Sexualities, and Women’s Studies from Augsburg University.
