Whether you're coming to therapy as a child, teen, or adult, every life stage comes with its own set of challenges that deserve to be supported. You may be struggling with burnout, fatigue, rapid thoughts, depression, or generally feeling stuck in life. I am passionate about helping you identify your needs and find creative ways to manage self-care, find balance, manage your role with the family system, and gain coping skills.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in working with children, teens, adults, families and parent-child relationships. I use approaches including CBT, Play Therapy/Sand Tray, Trauma-Informed, and Person-Centered therapy. I enjoy collaborating with my clients to help determine the best therapeutic approaches and draw from their own inner-wisdom and strength.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that people have the answers within them and clients are the ultimate driving force in the therapeutic process. As the therapist, my job is to bring out that inner-wisdom and draw on current strengths. Through my own therapy, I have seen the magic of CBT in identifying unhealthy thoughts, feelings and behaviors as well as finding alternative strategies to change the thinking patterns, feelings and responses to problems. I feel that being authentic and genuine is the most important part to building therapeutic rapport. If a safe, nonjudgmental space can be provided, growth can and will happen. You are in the driver's seat and I'm in the passenger seat to help encourage you along.
