About My Clients

We are connective, social beings, and we all need a support system to help guide us out of the ruts in which we find ourselves. Sometimes you need some help getting unstuck. Maybe you want to get better at setting boundaries and recover from gaslighting. Maybe you want to explore and process new ideas around gender, sexuality, and intimacy. Or maybe you just want to embrace your personal identity with embodiment and joy. (Bonus points for weird, nerdy, spooky misfits and outcasts!)

My Background and Approach

I hold a Doctorate of Science in Chinese Medicine (DSCM), a Masters of Education in School and Mental Health Counseling (MSEd), and am a Licensed Acupuncturist (LAc). I received my DSCM from the accredited National University of Natural Medicine, and my MSEd from University of Pennsylvania. I am currently practicing under the supervision of Heather Kilroy LPC and Jennifer McPherson LPC in pursuit of my counseling license. I have completed my Level 1 Training of Internal Family Systems (IFS). My counseling approach is an integration of top-down, cognitive approaches such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and bottom-up somatic approaches such as parts work and Internal Family Systems. I also have a passion for psychoeducation, which means that you'll never be left in the dark about what's going on or why something is happening. Knowledge is power, and I want to make that power accessible to you.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a white queer cis woman of Ashkenazi, Sicilian, and German heritage, and I have over 15 years of lived experience engaging with and advocating for the LGBTQIA+/Kink community. I believe that the obligations of mental health counselors and East Asian medicine practitioners extend to social justice work. When I'm not trying to learn All The Things, you can find me LARPing, lifting heavy things, or at home covered in cats while watching nerdy sci-fi/fantasy shows.
