About My Clients

My interests and training have equipped me to walk alongside people with histories that might include complex & developmental trauma, relationship issues, and prolonged experiences of anxiety and/or depression. I am also prepared to partner with those who are moving through periods of personal development and life transitions such as: exploring shifts in identity, young adulthood, partnership, career changes, becoming a parent, divorce, or periods of grief and loss.

My Background and Approach

My approach and training is informed by modern psychoanalysis, as well as the latest neuroscience, trauma, somatic, and relational research. This approach relies heavily on the therapeutic relationship as a form of technique and path to restoration. I will be doing my part well if you come to find that you can say and feel everything, reaching for more of yourself through the exploration of whatever arises. My hope is you will be intrigued and compelled by the long-term, satisfying shifts that emerge from knowing yourself more fully, and from being known. I received a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Florida Southern College, an MBA from the University of Tampa, and hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lenoir Rhyne’s Asheville Center for Graduate Studies. I am also a certified TRE® provider (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises®)--a somatic/ body-centered process designed to increase body and mind cohesion, while unwinding chronic stress and tension.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Being human and experiencing suffering is inevitable. Yet, most of us have been conditioned to believe there must be something “wrong” with us if we are dissatisfied, struggling, or in pain. In this way, life has a particular way of making us feel inadequate and alone. Therapy offers a unique opportunity to bring all of your depth and complexity into a space that acknowledges your humanity and is actively curated to attend to you. As a socially progressive therapist (LGBTQia ally, trans-affirming, poly-aware), I am intentional in working to understand how interpersonal, cultural, and systemic dynamics shape your life. Finally, I believe I can only walk into the deepest reservoirs of the human experience, by continually investigating my own stuck places. To this end, I am committed to my own ongoing therapy, clinical supervision, and I am a student at the Philadelphia School of Psychoanalysis.
