About My Clients
I work primarily with individual women and parents. My specialties are in reproductive and trauma therapy, focused on infertility, pregnancy/infant loss, pregnancy or postpartum anxiety and depression, birth trauma, and termination of pregnancies. I also serve individuals navigating trauma from past experiences unrelated to reproductive health, anxiety, grief, and loss. I welcome you to schedule a free 15 minute phone consult to see if we are a good match.
My Background and Approach
I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development. My experience with clients has spanned across the lifespan in various forms. I currently work exclusively with adults. With all of my clients, I work from an anti-oppressive framework. My approach is collaborative, strengths based, and goal oriented. This means we work together toward goals that we outline together in our first session, keeping our work effective and productive, while sensitive to the pace that feels right to you. I look to get to know you not only for your challenges but also your strengths, believing that areas of strength are a crucial leverage point for growing through your challenges.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I work from an anti-oppressive framework. I am aware of my power and privilege and believe it is critical for us to look at systems of oppression that have shaped our identities so that we can heal from the injustices that burden our lives. I work to be inclusive of all people groups and am committed to my own growth in this category as a white, cis-gendered woman.
