About My Clients
It seems like everyone and everything is moving on and moving fast toward the next big thing, but not you. It was great when you felt in sync with the collective. Right now, however, something feels so wrong that you're feeling disconnected from the relationships and responsibilities you value the most. You need a safe place to unload those some heavy memories, worries, doubts, and fears that are impacting your emotions. I’m here for you whenever you’re ready.
My Background and Approach
I provide a therapy home to clients with marginalized identities because I know that interactions with mainstream society can erode away at our sense of safety. I offer strengths-based, trauma-informed psychotherapy to help deal with difficult relationship dynamics, gaining a sense of rootedness in one's identity, and/or navigating mental health challenges. My experience comes from the community mental health setting, where I provided individual and family therapy to adolescents and young adults of diverse backgrounds experiencing moderate to severe mental and behavioral health challenges. My prior years of working in the Public Health field further rooted my awareness about the environmental and social determinants of health. Insights I gained while working on my Master’s in Social Work affirmed my approach of seeing clients within their social, environmental, and historical context, rather than assuming that their mental health problems are rooted solely in clients’ minds.
