About My Clients

The question is: What is tangling you up? Are you tangled up in anxiety, sadness,& doubt? Are you held by insecurity &uncertainty? Are you slowed by feeling disconnected & getting caught unaware? Have the paths become overgrown and you can’t find or are questioning the sign before you? Growth is about using and building new skills, all of which take time, and nurturing. Growth is about finding solutions that apply to the situation and not just the general world.

My Background and Approach

So why do I work from this aspect of balance? Growing up here as a native of the SF bay, I have seen the technology advancements and shift from nature that the bay has gone through and its struggle to find a new balance. My own journey mirrors this transformation. From a boy who was diagnosed with a learning disability that discourages growth, to an adult who graduated with a Bachelor in Creative Arts degree from San Jose State and a Master in Counseling Psychology from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology. That accomplishment alone is not the only part of my identity nor challenges that I’ve had to face on this path. As an African-American man, I’ve faced challenges of racism. And as a gay man, I’ve faced the challenges of homophobia. Yet it is through my spirituality that I found myself on the path that has led to the achievements that allow me to provide service in helping others find balance and growth in their lives.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

The symbol Mpatapo, is also known as the Knot of Reconciliation. The nature of the problems/difficulties that tangles up and stops people from living. The other symbol is Aya, which is also know as the Fern. The concepts of endurance That accomplishment alone is not the only part of my identity nor challenges that I’ve had to face on this path.
