About My Clients
As a psychotherapist (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) for over two decades, I have had the privilege of working with clients from different walks of life, which includes, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer/questioning, asexual (LGBTQIA+), people of color, and people from diverse religious and socioeconomic backgrounds.
My Background and Approach
Reaching out and asking for help is a courageous act. Everyone’s life challenges are unique, and no one deserves to deal with them in isolation. Whether you are looking to work on a current difficulty or wanting to change old patterns, I would like to help you achieve your individual goals. Having over twenty-five years of clinical experience, I rely on variety of psychotherapy techniques and theories to provide optimal care. These include Somatic Experiencing, mindfulness, contemporary psychoanalysis, Jungian psychology, Trauma Resiliency Model, transpersonal psychology, cognitive therapy, and Eastern psychology.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Working with me can provide an opportunity for inner work which can add more depth and meaning to one’s life. As a counselor, I value having a deeper life purpose as I go through my own journey. I am also available to work with individuals who are looking to know themselves better and add more meaning and vitality to their lives. In addition to caring and supportive talk therapy, I can provide somatic based psychotherapy which offers techniques to cope and move through many physical and psychological symptoms of stress. The body has a language and wisdom of its own, that once welcomed and worked with, can provide a healing path toward greater health, emotional self-regulation, and a more grounded state.
