About My Clients
I believe that reflective listening and a strong therapeutic relationship provide the foundation for healing and growth. I utilize elements of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), solution-focused and strength-based methods, and mindfulness techniques from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
My Background and Approach
I also have extensive training and experience treating PTSD with Prolonged Exposure therapy. I will help you develop effective thinking patterns and behaviors in order to build lifelong skills that encourage lifelong health and growth. I enjoy working with adults experiencing post-traumatic stress, depression, anxiety, life transitions, and grief and loss.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Virginia and have worked in the mental health field since 2015. I earned my Master's of Social Work at the University of Oklahoma. I have experience working with adults across the spectrum of severity, from coping with a brief life transition to learning how to better manage a chronic mental health condition.
