About My Clients

I specialize in working with adolescents/ young adults with anxiety, depression, body image issues, eating disorders, OCD & college adjustment/ stress. You don't have to have it all figured out! I find that people often assume that they “should” know how to approach therapy. In reality, the process may not be quite so simple and may feel confusing. I frequently have conversations with clients about how to use sessions and ongoing dialogues about our work together.

My Background and Approach

My therapeutic approach is practical and flexible, grounded in psychodynamic psychotherapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and exposure therapy. At the beginning of the therapeutic process, I collaborate with clients to help them set goals related to what they would like to change in their lives. We next determine together which approach(es) fit their needs and then work together to understand their challenges, leverage their strengths, and build skills or new ways of responding to stress. Outside of my private practice, I am a therapist at McLean Hospital. Previously, I have worked as a research coordinator in the Washington University Psychiatry Department studying clinical interventions for eating disorders, and I also have experience working as a therapist at a domestic violence shelter and university counseling center with people experiencing a wide variety of issues.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I strive to provide intersectional, LGBTQ+ affirming, social justice-informed and culturally competent care. I am a Health at Every Size- aligned provider.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
