Anxiety disorders are often associated with a number of debilitating symptoms and behaviors that negatively impact daily performance, social interactions, and overall quality of life. I guide people towards a better understanding of the nature of their symptoms and help them explore and address the underlying thoughts and beliefs that often perpetuate the anxiety cycle. I utilize mindfulness based techniques and strategies to relieve distressing symptoms and improve coping skills.
Building and maintaining healthy relationships can be challenging. The acts of setting unrealistic expectations and sacrificing personal happiness often lead to an internal build-up of negative emotions, including disappointment and resentment towards each other. Couples therapy can help change dysfunctional patterns of interactions and foster a new kind of understanding between the partners, while creating a sense of safety and trust in the relationship.
ADHD is a neurological condition that can have a negative impact on individual’s mental health and overall quality of life if not properly managed. Psychotherapy can help individuals understand the unique challenges associated with ADHD, improve their ability to cope with daily life stressors, and capitalize on its positive traits.
In my work, I integrate a variety of therapeutic approaches and techniques based on the needs and preferences of my clients. My goal as a counselor is to help my clients identify their strengths and areas for growth so they can learn to manage all aspects of their lives in a way that brings them joy and satisfaction.
