Therapy can help you learn to ground yourself, learn skills to navigate feelings and situations in more compassionate ways, and challenge self-defeating thoughts and behaviors. I am certified in CBT and CPT. However, I integrate a range of therapeutic models to support the diverse unique strengths and needs of my clients. My therapy approach is trauma-informed, LGBTQ+ affirming, anti-racist and social-justice informed. I seek to honor all identities and experiences as I strongly believe in the importance of being seen and heard. I was raised in a predominantly Latino community and as a child of immigrants, I have insight into the intersection of individual, generational, and collective trauma. I have extensive training in trauma-informed care and it's important that my clients feel safe to express their true selves in my sessions. I celebrate diversity and enjoy working with people from all walks of life. I also strongly believe in the process of psychotherapy but I have first-hand knowledge in the challenges that come with reaching out for help. Let's face it, in many communities there's still so much stigma surrounding mental health and reaching out for help .
