About My Clients

I specialize in treatment of anxiety disorders such as OCD and social anxiety, as well as depression and chronic pain. My greatest joy is to see the transformative change that occurs when clients are able to learn to recognize and adapt their thoughts and behaviors to live their lives more fully in line with their values.

My Background and Approach

Prior to joining The Center for Mindfulness & CBT, I worked as a Crisis Counselor for Crisis Text Line; as an intern at the Counseling and Social Advocacy Center at UMSL; and as an intern at St. Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute’s Intensive Outpatient Program for OCD and Anxiety-Related Disorders. There, I completed specialized training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), which is a powerful, evidence-based treatment for anxiety, depression, and more. In my role at SLBMI I helped individuals identify distorted thoughts and maladaptive behaviors, and worked with them to establish new patterns of thought and behavior that were more helpful and based more closely on the client’s beliefs, values, and goals.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe every person has within them the power to learn, the power to grow, the power to heal. My role as a counselor is not to provide all the answers, but to help you discover those that exist already within you. I identify as a member of the LGBTQIAA+ community. I am genderqueer, and prefer they/them pronouns. I am also polyamory/non-monogamy and kink friendly, body-positive, and believe in and support the Black Lives Matter movement.
