About My Clients
It takes courage to reach out for support when life’s uncertainties, relationships, breakups, the discovery of betrayal, current events, issues with family, problems at work & overall feeling stuck become overwhelming. Any of these events can delay healing & growth if they remain unresolved. Generally, clients reach out when they’ve tried to get better on their own but their symptoms or natural reactions persist and cause difficulties functioning. Professional help can make such a difference.
My Background and Approach
As a licensed marriage and family therapist in California, with over 14 years of experience, my goal is to help clients navigate through the difficulties in their life and relationships, while providing a safe place to learn tools, explore and develop insight. My style is supportive, collaborative, empathic, honest, challenging and direct with boundaries. I use a combination of therapeutic styles to help my clients move forward in their healing. As a Certified Partner Trauma Therapist I help partners of sex addicts heal from the discovery of betrayal in their relationship. As a trained EMDR therapist, I help clients recover from trauma and other distressing life experiences.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I whole heartedly believe everyone has the capacity to use their inner wisdom to overcome the adversities in life. There is a greater purpose for that pain. Often times, clients find a renewed sense of self, more confidence, self-compassion, and develop trust and skills to cope and manage as a result of their own motivation for improvement and work they do in therapy. Being a part of my clients healing journey is an honor and something I cherish deeply. I also care a lot about social justice issues and educate myself on what I don’t know. I enjoy working with clients from all backgrounds, respect differences and I look forward to being a part of your care.
