About My Clients
I specialize in working with couples, families, and individual adults who are working on their relationships. I also have experience supporting clients facing life transitions and existential questions.
My Background and Approach
I integrate existential, humanistic and psychodynamic approaches into my work. My clinical focus in social work graduate school was Children, Youth and Families, and I am confident working with individuals, couples, and families at different moments in the life span. In our work together, we will explore the origin and function of ways of being in the world that you wish to change. I provide a space of safety, curiosity, and focused attention in which you can grow and inhabit new ways of being.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that therapy is sacred work. Done well, therapy shows us the stories we are living by and, in doing so, allows our motivations, thoughts, and actions to become less mysterious to us. Uncovering the stories we are living out in our lives provides a starting point for deep and abiding transformation. Prior to starting my graduate degree, I facilitated a support group for climate activists in which we discussed the existential questions that accompany climate activism. I continue to be passionate about working with people facing existential questions raised by activist work. I am a proud member of the LBGTQIA+ community, I have worked for LBGTQIA+ organizations, and I am committed to making LBGTQIA+ organizations and community spaces intersectional and instrumental in advancing the fight for racial justice.
