About My Clients
My goal is to help guide you through any challenges, trauma, or unexpected life changes you may experience. I especially have a passion for working with sex workers, Ethical Non-Monogamy, LGBTQ+, suicidal ideation, multicultural couples/families, sexual issues, and trauma. I believe that clients have everything that they need to make positive changes in their lives within themselves. I focus on establishing reachable goals with clients that can be maintained after therapy.
My Background and Approach
I take an evidence-based approach that combines well-researched interventions from Internal Family Systems, Strategic Family Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy models to help clients overcome trauma, grow, and navigate life. Additionally, I specialize in clients who struggle with depression and anxiety. My practice is open and affirming to all people regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, ability, socio-economic status, religious or political beliefs, and/or alternative forms of sexual expression and lifestyle. I also personally understand the importance of promoting a compassionate and trustworthy relationship with my clients.

As a therapist, embodying a set of core values is essential to providing effective and ethical mental health care. Transparency is only one of my fundamental values. I promote openness and honesty in therapeutic interactions with my clients. By fostering clear communication, clients can develop trust, facilitating a collaborative journey toward healing and self-discovery. My second value, as a therapist, is compassion. This is the heartbeat of therapeutic practice. I have a commitment to understanding and empathizing with my clients to cultivate a supportive environment where individuals feel seen, heard, and validated. My third one is integrity. This is paramount in guiding me to uphold the highest ethical standards. Maintaining confidentiality, respecting autonomy, and consistently acting in the best interests of my clients contributes to a trustworthy therapeutic relationship. Last but not least is staying informed about new developments in the field and continuous learning.
