My Background and Approach
I received my Master of Science in Social Work at Columbia University and then went on to do a child/adolescent post-graduate clinical Fellowship at the Yale University-School of Medicine-Child Study Center for 2 additional years of training. I have been specializing in adolescents and families ever since. I have been doing family therapy since 2003. I mix my psychodynamic/psychoanalytic background with evidenced based practices in working with adolescents. I specialize in trauma and use DBT informed tx. I have started a new center-The Lowcountry Mindfulness Center in Johns Island, SC where individual, group and family sessions are available.
