My field experience combined with my mental health background allows me to provide culturally competent care. I integrate both pharmacological and non pharmacological options to use a comprehensive approach to treatment. I work together with my clients to support their goals with or without medications. I will always opt out for non addictive options. If you are taking benzodiazepines or z-drugs on a regular basis, you will be better served with another clinician.

According to SAMHSA, it is estimated that first responders develop depression and PTSD 33% more often than general public, firefighters have higher suicidal ideations and attempts than general public and it is estimated that 125-300 police officers commit suicide yearly (2016). In the year 2021, more police officers died from suicide than in a line of duty. You are not alone!!! Reach out and find the resources to take care of you!!!

Many healthcare workers and first responders experience compassion fatigue without realizing it. It manifests itself with work dissatisfaction, anxiety, depression, difficulty concentrating and many other symptoms that often go unnoticed. We can work together through insomnia, post traumatic stress and other symptoms associated with compassion fatigue to get you to a better emotional and mental space.

We developed an intensive four weeks long therapeutic program for FTs and HCWs to help manage wellness, rebuild resilience, and take back control by learning to identify and manage triggers in a constructive manner.

Cognitive behavioral therapy is a goal-oriented form of therapy that is structured around a specific goal. While working through a specific issue person will learn to focus on the situations and thoughts that are causing the undesired responses, including somatic or cognitive. Throughout this modality one learns to identify the negative thinking that is causing this unpleasant and sometimes crippling response.
