Open relationships are more about transformation rather than exploration. Embracing our infinite ability to love, we are reminded of the possibilities of transforming our own lives by letting go of the binds and tight holds we have on each other and begin embracing ourselves do we truly understand what love really looks, feels like, and means. True autonomy and freedom are about transformation not exploration. If you seek open relationships for some other reason you may be missing the point.
Variations in sexuality are part of human nature, but the way our society sees it is highly stigmatized and being involved in the kink and bdsm community can be highly spiritual and gratifying experience. I also work with the LGBTQIA and sex worker communities. Saying that you love sex work is healing. Recognizing the difference, because for some sex work is for survival we can help you with that, too.
We work with BIPOC. We live in an indoctrinated society. Stigma runs rampant and most of us operate from a narrative and language that perpetuates, support and often complies with oppression and indoctrination. Is it a surprise we are suffering from trauma, depression, anxiety and the likes? If we can begin to unpack how society has victimized us we can begin to alter our stories around shame and self-blame towards a more holistic view of inner and societal healing.
I don't think that talk therapy alone is enough. In my work we will integrate the mind with the body. What does this mean? We will focus on sensations in your body, exploring your feelings and where they live within the body. We will look at how the body communicates with the brain. You will learn how to manage emotions, allowing them to exist in your body, while not letting them run every moment of your life, and how to attend to them with grace.
