About My Clients
Change can be tough. Chances are, you're probably repeating similar patterns over and over. We all do this! These patterns can go on for so long and when we want to do something about it--well, it can be super daunting to untangle what feels like a giant, complex, layered knot. This can be especially challenging in the face of new life transitions -- we can find that what used to work for us no longer does.
My Background and Approach
I see therapy as a way to help untangle this knot. Having a collaborative partner in the untying process who can help us see how experiences and situations from our past shape how we see the world today can be incredibly helpful. It's my view that therapy is very much a relational process.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a clinical social worker, social justice is written into our code of ethics. This very much informs the therapy process and how we together, clinician and client, begin to think collaboratively about factors that may be contributing to the knot.
