About My Clients
Being a person can be hard. Navigating the typical circumstances of everyday life can be challenges in and of themselves. For those individuals, couples, and families attempting to cope with traumatic experiences and/or chronic psychological difficulties, it can feel impossible at times to imagine, let alone live, a gratifying life with meaningful connections. I utilize an approach that emphasizes the individual's lived experiences and personal resiliency to foster transformative growth.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over 6 years of experience working in the mental health field as a therapist and researcher. I have clinical experience providing therapeutic services to a wide variety of populations (i.e. adult and juvenile correctional settings, inpatient psychiatric facilities, community mental health programs, and private practice). I received trauma-focused clinical training at the Trauma Resolution & Integration Program at Nova Southeastern University and continue to specialize in providing trauma-informed care. I believe in utilizing a client-centered approach and integrating therapeutic practices such as Contextual Trauma Therapy (CTT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-based, and Hypnotherapy as best suited for a person's individual needs and goals.
