About My Clients
Motivated, ready to challenge norms, ready to heal emotional wounds and traumas, seeking a more calm and content existence.
My Background and Approach
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a background in mental health, public health research, and chronic illness and disability. My MSW is from Rutgers University and MSM-PH, PP is from Thomas Edison State University. I have over a decade of experience helping support individuals in transforming themselves from who they believe they need to be, to their most authentic and satisfied selves. I offer a wide range of interventions to successfully alleviate symptoms of distress that may disrupt each developmental stage of life. I most often utilize positive psychology and mindfulness in my practice, as well as traditional CBT and DBT interventions. Therapy needs to be collaborative, meaning whatever we implement has to work for you in your life. I'm open to feedback and use it to direct our time together so you get the most support.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everyone has inherent value. But to be clear, I do not tolerate any homophobia, xenophobia, sexism, racism, etc. Most of the world's problems are issues of inequality and disregard for the human condition. I work hard to integrate the voices of my clients into their care and to have cultural humility.
